About the web series
Língua is a web series by Carolina Muait, Gabriel Abreu and Patrick Sampaio, produced by Brecha in association with Cajamanga and Interseção.

The series shows fragments of the lives of 9 young adults from the city of Rio de Janeiro born in the 1980s and 1990s, characters diverse in sexual orientations, genders and backgrounds, but with common frustrations when dealing with issues such as love, sexuality, family, work and prejudice. A fictional portrait of the so-called “burnout generation”.

An anthology, Língua has each episode dedicated to the individual development of one or a few characters, people who gradually reveal themselves to be interconnected as part of the same social bubble which, albeit somewhat diverse, unites them in the feeling of incommunicability and difficulty in changing their lives, behavioral patterns and political-structural obstacles.

After shooting was interrupted due to the pandemic and due to an uncertain scenario, Brecha decided to join efforts with Cajamanda and Interseção to finalize the recorded material and release the first few episodes with the public during lockdown.
